Pictures at an Exhibition is both a musical art gallery and an exhilarating tour of the orchestra. Originally composed as a work for piano by Modest Mussorgsky, this is the later, more famous version, ravishingly orchestrated in glowing colours by the French composer Maurice Ravel. The album also includes two works by Ravel himself.
