In 1917 Janáèek met Kamila Stösslová, the wife of an antique dealer, in the Moravian spa resort of Luhaèovice. In spite of the huge difference in their ages (his 63 to her 26) he began writing to her regularly after the holiday. She inspired this string quartet.
Locatelli - L'arte del violino: Concerto No. 5 in C, L'arte del violino: Concerto No. 4 in E, L'arte del violino: Concerto No. 6 in G minor
L\'Arte del Violino by the Italian violin virtuoso Locatelli was printed in Amsterdam in 1733, and became one of the most influential musical publications of the early eighteenth century. It set the violin on a path towards its modern idiom.
